Free Technical Repair Tip: Build your own (cheap) Audio Ground Loop Isolator. Ground Loops often introduce hum into Home Theatre systems when multiple components--such as Computers, TV's, Stereos, DVD players, VCR's are connected together. Use audio transformers to provide a 1:1 ratio with the appropriate impedances for your application. RCA Plugs and Jacks found on most components are "Line Level"--typically 600 ohm so CR45-698 or CR45-699 are appropriate for most applictions. If you are working with a different impedance and don't see audio transformers in the paragraph above--simply find a transformer with the right impedance on one side--and use two of them "back to back" to get the impedances desired and maintain the necessary 1:1 ratio. If your hum problems disappear when you disconnect your TV cable wire--then you need an RF Ground Loop Isolator (see our TV ANTENNA webpage): CR75-504 RF Isolation Transformer 75 ohm input & output $9,75
