Determining the connector style you need on a plug pak: The most common coaxial power plug style is the DCP-2155 shown below. The DCP-2155 and DCP-2555 both have an outside barrel 5.5MM (about 7/32" or .215") diameter; the difference is the hole size. The DCP-2155 has a 2.1MM (close to the size of a 5/64 drill bit) hole while the DCP-2555 has a 2.5MM (close to the size of a 3/32 drill bit) hole. Another easy way to determine the hole size is to try a "subminature" P-25 "earphone plug" into the hole--if it goes in--you probably need a DCP-2555; if it doesn't fit--you probably need a DCP-2155 connector! Some units require a P-35 connector which has a 3.5MM (1/8") diameter metal part. There are more than 20 sizes of "coaxial power plugs" but 80% of all Plug Pak powered equipment uses a DCP-2155 or DCP-2555 or P-35 style connector.

Free Technical Tip: Plug or Jack(=Socket): which do you need?
A "JACK" is a Socket or Connector that mounts on a panel or is soldered to a circuit board.
An "INLINE JACK" is a SOCKET (Connector) that attaches to a cord.
Most Coaxial Power Sockets (Jacks) are male (they have a pin in the middle of the socket = jack). The exceptions are: Size-5510, Size-6510, Size-7010 which have a hole in the middle of the jack--so these three sizes of jacks are female!
A "PLUG" is a connector that is either molded to a cord or can be soldered to a cord and that mates with a Jack or Inline Jack. Most coaxial power plugs are female connectors (they have a hole in the middle of the plug) however there are a few exceptions: Size-5510, Size-6510, Size-7010 have pins in the middle of the plug which makes the plug a male connector.
